Nehemiah is a charitable organization that provides money to people to help them become home owners. The Nehemiah Program provides funds to qualified buyers who can then purchase participating properties using an eligible loan program.

The home buying process may be scary, but there are people and organizations that are willing to help you along the way. Nehemiah has teamed up with mortgage companies, real estate agents, title companies, new home builders, and home ownership counselors to assist you in achieving the American dream of becoming a home owner.

• You must qualify for an eligible loan program.
  

NEHEMIAH & YOU
When you qualify as a Nehemiah Buyer, you can receive up to 3% of the contract sales price of the participating home to be used for your down payment and closing costs. There is no repayment of the gift monies.

You do not have to be a first time buyer. It is very important that you get credit approved FIRST by a participating Nehemiah lender. This will not only give you a stronger buying position but allows you to pre-determine just how much house you can really afford. After you are credit approved you can go hunting for a home.
